The Christmas Season

It has been an interesting week since the last time I posted anything. This week was the finals week for those at Manhattan College and Friday was the last day of finals for all of my friends. This clearly meant that Friday night was party night. A bunch of us got together and met up for dinner at the Thai place up in Riverdale and had a good dinner with some very good tea (haha). Then after dinner we went to my friend's apartment where we were drinking everything from Coors Light (eww) to Irish Car Bombs (yay!). The night went well and we all had a good time. Three of the girls there got slightly more than buzzed and due to this became sick.

The night ended well and everyone got home and into bed. The next day was just as action packed as the night before. In the morning (after getting up relatively later than usual) I had to dive one of my friends to the airport so she could go home (thankfully the MTA Union strike did not happen...yet). As soon as I got back from the airport I went to lunch at the Thai place again with Melissa (for the record that was the third time this week that we have been there and the fourth time in the past 10 days).

After lunch I (and my brother) went to the Christmas party that one of my co-workers was having at her place (because if I did not make an appearance she would have killed me on Monday). The party was fun (for the hour that I was there) mainly because she did not invite any of the engineers or our boss (thank God). So it was only the office staff which made for a much more interesting party.

After about an hour there I left back for Riverdale to pick up Melissa to drive her home. The drive was fun, rocking out the whole way and eating junk food. By the time we got to Melissa's John and I pretty much had to turn around and drive to my old roommates house (which, as it turns out, is only about 25 minutes away). My old roommate and his family were having a Christmas party at their house that evening.

The party lasted until about 3 AM. We all passed out and woke up the next morning at around 9ish to have a huge breakfast (as always). John and I left around 11 AM and headed home. We got home, showered, changed and got in the van with out parents and drove out to Connecticut for out families Christmas party at our cousins house.

My cousins and our family are rather close so our Christmas parties are usually very fun and relaxing. One of my cousins who also just graduated has her lease running out in March so she and I will most likely get an apartment together in the city this spring which means that I may be able to get broadband internet which means that I will be able to post at all hours of the day and night and will become and internet addict again (just like in school).

We got home late from our cousins and pretty much passed out when we got home. Today I had to get up for work again (which was tons of fun) and thus ended my (for the most part) 50 some odd hour long Christmas celebration. Now all I have to do is finish my Christmas shopping and get through this work week and make it to the actual holiday! Merry Christmas everyone.
